Pagination Tag

The Pagination tag is an html element designed to describe the relationship between a series of a series of paginated URLs – for example, when an article is divided into consecutive URLs, a forum discussion spreads over several pages, and so on.

The tag consists of the rel=”next” and rel=”prev” markup.

Marking the content using the pagination tag guides search engines to treat all the URLs in the series as a whole and to direct the users to the first webpage in the series.
