Google Penguin

Google Penguin or the Webspam update is a massive Google algorithm update announced on April 2012. The update purpose was to reward websites that use white hat SEO methods and create unique quality content for the user and to penalize spammy websites that use illicit black hat methods such as keyword stuffing, or unnatural link building.

According to Google’s assessment the update will affect about 3% of the search queries in English and in languages with average spamming rates and about 5% of the searches in languages such as Polish where the rate of spammers is above the rate.
